You will be picked up early in the morning at 7:30 am from your hotel and thereafter drive towards Mombasa city.

Upon arrival at the city, we shall commence by visiting the elephant tusks, a symbol of Mombasa built in the year 1952 by the British royal navy in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth as she visited Kenya.

A visit to the Hindu Temple shall follow, whereby you will learn about different religious practices in Kenya. Thereafter, proceed to the Old Market, where you can buy different types of spices, and take a short walk through the old town. Our walk will take us up to Fort Jesus, which was built by the Portuguese in 1593 with the aim of protecting their trade route and the city of Mombasa from the Arab traders. A guide shall accompany you inside the fort, and interesting history about the fort shall be told. Ancient things, during the Portuguese, Arabs, and colonial era, can be seen during this tour.

Thereafter, drive through Mama Ngina Drive, a recreation facility within Mombasa, and make a short break at the Likoni ferry, the busiest crossing channel to the mainland. Thereafter, proceed to the Akamba woodcarvers village. Visit the talented carvers & sculptors from the Akamba community; have a chance to visit one hut to another and observe how they carve.
