12 Days  Birdwatchers safari

Kenya Safari Details:-

Day 1-Nairobi/Nanyuki

After arriving at JKIA Nairobi, we pick you up directly as we drive towards Nyeri arriving in time for lunch. After lunch proceeds for a game viewing until late evening. On way, we shall pass by the Coffee and Tea plantation not forgetting the beautiful landscape that part of central Kenya has to offer.

Depending on the weather, we shall be in a position the see Mount Kenya which is the 2nd highest mountain in Africa. overnight-Solio Lodge or equivalent(LD)

Day 2-Nanyuki/Samburu
Early breakfast departs for Samburu game reserve arriving at our camp in time for lunch. Thereafter an evening game drive shall follow. Samburu is north of the equator and contains rare drought resistant animals species, which can go long periods without water. These include the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy zebras, the Gerenuk Giraffe gazelle, and the Beisa Oryx.
In Samburu other animals can be seen, these are Elephants, Lions, and Leopards. The Reserve boasts to have a large number of birds species like the rare blue shanked Somali Ostrich, Buffalo weavers, and much more.Overnight-Elephant Bedroom camp or equivalent(BD)

Day 3-Samburu
After an early breakfast depart for a game drive in the Reserve in search of the rare species of birds and animals in this magnificent landscaped part of northern Kenya. The morning game drive will cover around 4 hrs then back for lunch after lunch, relax until 15:30, then proceed for another evening game drive until 18:00hrs. Overnight-Elephant Bedroom camp or equivalent(BLD)

Day 4-Samburu/Meru
After breakfast depart for Meru national park arriving there in time for lunch. After picnic lunch proceeds for the evening game drive. Meru was one of the two areas in which conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa’s lioness made famous in the bestselling book and award-winning movie Born free Elsa.
The Lioness is buried in this park and part of Joy’s ashes was scattered on her gravesite. Over 300 species of birds have been recorded within the park, including the Peter’s Finfoot, the Pel’s Fishing Owl, kingfishers, rollers, bee-eaters, starlings and weavers birds, the secretary bird, ostriches, and Hornbills.
The 870 km² national park is best known to host a wide range number of wild animals including Elephants, Lion, Leopard, cheetah, eastern black rhinoceros, southern white rhinoceros, Grévy’s zebra & hippopotamus. After the evening game drive to the lodge for overnight-Rhino watch camp or equivalent-Breakfast-full board basis.

Day 5-Meru/Nakuru
Early breakfast then departs with a game drive en-route as we drive to Nakuru. On the way, we shall have a stop at the Equator and proceed to Nyahururu for our picnic lunch break. After lunch we proceed through the Kenya highlands, which is very famous for coffee and tea plantation, have a stop at the great rift valley viewpoint and another stopover at one of the Tea plantations then proceed to Nakuru, overnight-Eagle palace Hotel or equivalent. full board basis.

Day 6-Nakuru /Bogoria
Early breakfast then departs for Lake Bogoria which is a freshwater lake along the Great rift valley. The lake supports a large number of Birds species including flamingos. The Lake boasts to have one of the best magnificent landscapes
which are crowned by the bubbling hot springs and geysers. After picnic lunch proceeds to Lake Baringo for a boat ride and bird spotting, thereafter return to Nakuru-Dinners and overnight-Eagle palace hotel.

Day 7-Nakuru/Naivasha
After breakfast depart for a game drive and birds spotting in the Lake Nakuru national park with a picnic lunch. The park has prolific birdlife including pelicans, storks, etc not forgetting other animals species like buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, white rhinos, black rhinos plains game, and cats like lions. After Picnic lunch depart for Lake Naivasha with game drive en-route. Overnight-Fish eagle inn-full board basis.

Day 8-Naivasha/Hells gate
Early breakfast then departs for Hells gate national park, this is one of the parks which can be visited on foot or by Bicycle(optional)There is several plains game like the common zebras, impalas, warthogs, buffaloes. The highlight of this half-day excursion will be visiting the canyon-which is one of the beautiful landscapes the rift valley region has to offer in the afternoon relax-or (optional) Boat ride at Lake Naivasha which supports an enormous birds species. Overnight-Fish eagles inn(BLD)

Day 9-Naivasha/Mara
Early breakfast then departs for Masai Mara with picnic lunch en route, arriving in Mara in time for the evening game drive until 18:00hrs. Overnight-Sarova mara Lodge or equivalent-full board basis.

Day 10-Mara
After breakfast proceeds for a full game drive in the Mara. However, whoever(Optional)would like to do a balloon safari in Mara there is an opportunity. Balloon safari combines one and half hours flight-champagne breakfast and a game drive back to the lodge or camp. For those who wouldn’t prefer balloon safari, there is an option for an early morning game drive; this is the best time to view the big cats as they are mainly active during the early and evening hours.
Masai Mara is the most this visited park in Kenya and this is accredited to the high concentration of animals not forgetting the spectacular animals’ migration that takes place every year! The Reserve also boasts to have an enormous number of birds species. Thereafter back to the camp for breakfast then proceeds to the Masai village, back to the camp for lunch, relax till 15:30hrs embark again for another evening game drive till 18:00 hrs-Overnight-Sarova mara lodge-full board basis.

Day 11-Mara
Early breakfast followed by a full game drive with picnic lunch: The landscape here is scenic Savannah grassland with rolling hills. Masai Mara is renowned for the black-maned lions, Elephants, herds of buffaloes, Black Rhinos. There is a high concentration of plains game, Gnus, Masai Giraffes, and by luck Leopards. This full-day game drive will take us to the Mara River whereby by the right season and chance, we shall have the opportunity to view the spectacular scenery as Gnus, Zebras, and other plain game across the Mara River. Thereafter back to the camp or lodge at around 18:00hrs
Overnight-Sarova mara-full board basis.

Day 12.Mara/Nairobi
Early breakfast, followed by a game en route as we drive to Nairobi to catch a flight back home or take an inland flight to the coast of Mombasa for your holiday extension(BLD)

Day 13-15 Beach holiday at Diani Sea Resort or Papillion beach Hotel on a full board basis.

Day 16. Departure for your  home country.
