HIGHLIGHTS
AMBOSELI: Spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, wildebeest, buffalos, galaxies, cheetahs, monkeys, zebras giraffes, and rare bird species can be spotted
TSAVO EAST: Home to the man-eater lions (during the building of the Kenya-Uganda railway in 1890) Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya, located in the southeastern part of the country. Spanning an impressive 13,747 square kilometers, it forms a significant portion of the greater Tsavo ecosystem. Renowned for its vast landscapes and rich wildlife, the park is especially famous for its large population of red elephants, whose dusty, reddish coats come from wallowing in the region’s red soil. Tsavo East is also home to an abundance of plains game, as well as a healthy presence of big cats, making it a prime destination for unforgettable wildlife sightings
SALT LICK: A privately owned sanctuary is home to lions, Oryx and elephants and a wide variety of plains game. The sanctuary is also home to over 300 species of birds. Night game drives at an extra cost.
Day 1.Diani beach-Tsavo East
African wilderness experience: Early morning pick up at 6:30 am from your respective hotel, then drive to Tsavo East National Park, arriving in time for the morning game drive. Tsavo East is renowned for the higher concentration of the red elephants not forgetting the big cats and other plain game. You will arrive at the lodge on time for lunch for lunch. After lunch, relax until 16:00 hrs; for another evening game viewing until 18:00 hrs. overnight-Tsavo East Sentrim Camp or equivalent (FB)
Day 2: Tsavo East National Park—Amboseli National Park.
Early morning breakfast then proceeds to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, relax until 16:00 hrs, then proceed for an evening game drive until 18 hrs. This park is the home of elephants, wildebeests (Gnu), buffalos, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, monkey families, and rare bird species. Highlights, In the early evening, when the sky is clear, the snow-capped dome of Mt. Kilimanjaro can be seen. Lunch, dinner, and overnight—Kibo safari camp or equivalent (FB)
Day 3: Amboseli National Park—Salt Lick Sanctuary.
After an early breakfast, check-out, and then proceed for a morning game drive until 8:30 hrs. Check out of the park as we drive towards Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, arriving on time for lunch.
After lunch, settle in and rest during the hottest part of the day. After tea time, proceed for a second game drive through the Saltlick game sanctuary until 18 hours. The privately owned sanctuary is home to lions, oryxes, and elephants, not to mention a wide variety of plains game. Salt Lick Sanctuary is also home to over 300 species of birds. Night game drives can also be arranged (optional, at an extra cost). overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge (FB)
Day 4: Salt Lick Lodge—Mombasa-Diani Beach
After breakfast checkout, proceed for a game drive en route as we drive to Mombasa, arriving at your hotel late evening (breakfast and lunch en route, arriving at your hotel at around 17 hrs).
