1 Day Mombasa City Tour
Excursion Details:-
You will be picked up early in the morning at 7:30 am from your hotel and drive towards Mombasa whereby you will visit Fort Jesus which was built by the Portuguese in 1593. A guide will accompany you inside and see the ancient things, during that colonial time, history will also be told about Fort Jesus and Mombasa as a whole
Thereafter will visit Jewellery Shops and then proceed to the Old market where you can buy different types of spices. Then drive along Moi Avenue and see the Elephant Tusks, the symbol of Mombasa built in the year 1952 by the British royal navy in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth as she visited Kenya. Thereafter visit the Indian temple and learn more about the Indian religion. You will have a chance to go inside the temple and see how they conduct their prayers and feel close to God.
Then proceed to Akamba wood carvers village. Here you will have a chance to see how people are talented to curve any sculpture of your choice. Here you will have a chance to visit one hut to another and see for yourself how they curve. After that, you visit the showroom and will be amazed to see well-finished kinds of stuff to buy.
Thereafter, you will proceed for lunch. After lunch drive to Haller Park, where you will have a chance to feed the giraffes with your hand, and see the Aldabra tortoises which are over 300 years. Here you will also get a chance to visit, Snake Park, see the Crocodiles, fish aquarium, Hippopotamus, Buffalos, Oryx, different types of birds, and many more. After Haller Park, you will drive through the mama Ngina drive and make a short break to see the nice view of the Indian Ocean. Then drive back to your hotel, arriving in the evening.
